@Darbutz I agree. Comments on a singer's voice and performance can be interesting and enlightening, no matter if the person commenting likes what he or she hears or not, but I do think it's much more interesting to read when the reasoning is based on the actual performance instead of a comparison to someone else.

This is my favorite of Maria Callas' performances of this opera followed closely by the '58 performance. I am partial to Sabata's sensitive interpretation and think she is in perfect form. Stupendous!

Both tebaldi and callas are outstanding in this aria -however tebaldi tends to be slightly flat on the top note. They are still both exceptional. :D
