The video I uploaded back in 2006 onto YouTube was shown as part of a top news story on our local CTV Montreal news at 6:00pm and again at 11:30pm. The local political group Project Montreal has created a parody based on this video, demanding air conditioning in the bus and metro. Before being changed, this originally was a commercial from the Montreal Metro back in 1976.
Here is the opening of the 6:00pm newscast, the story and the recap at the end of the program.

  • I don't agree with Projet MTL. Yet, with all my winter wearing, it's COLD. I don't know if it's only in the MR-73's. I mostly ride on 63's, and it's cold in those. :|

  • @SuperToyotaLexus In the winter it's going to be cold because they don't heat the metro stations or tunnels. The summer is when it really gets warm, and it's worse on the green line because those trains generate more heat than the Orange line. Blue and Yellow line doesn't matter as much since trains don't pass as often, so there's less heat, but it's also colder in the winter too, especially under the water!

  • FAIL! It was the CTCUM, not the STCUM!!!

  • @NovaBUSFan Ah, yes, you noticed. I wanted to mention it to them, but I don't think it would have changed the story much, plus, how many people actually are fans of transit enough to look that far into the report to realize this.

  • La vidéo du reportage c'est pas il fait BEAU mais il fait CHAUD

  • @Chtte07 Oui mais, j'ai mis cette video en ligne parce que mon video etait utilisé dans cet reportage.

  • @ASarcasmProduction I was tiered when I wrote that I meant 1970's !

  • How about we make the price for a ticket a little more realistic first?

  • @ASarcasmProduction Fail! It was made in 1976!

  • @MysticMTL

    True.

  • Oh, I'm sorry, FIRST spend money on making sure the metro car doors close when the train is in the tunnel, THEN make it more comfortable. And don't give me that 'we pay less then other cities for public transit' garbage, cause if we paid as much as they do (which FYI other cities in Canada have adjusted salaries) we wouldn't get half the service they do knowing how things work in this city, and even this province for that matter.

  • Fairs are going up anyway, so listen up Marvin, instead of making us pay more for the same, and in some cases LESS, how about you go with what your clients are ASKING for. That way we won't complain about less bus service. I hear probably DOUBLE the complaints about comfort in public transport than I hear complaints about the service, especially in Montreal. It's a different story in the suburbs though.
