@103pank Besides missing man formations are not performed over Falcon Stadium for football games. They are usually performed over the terrazzo in the cadet area or over the academy cemetery. OBTW I'm a USAFA grad and I used to fly fighters.

@103pank I know what a missing man formation is and what it's for, having flown in a few myself. In a 4-ship formation that performs a missing man, number 2 is to the left of number one and number three and four are on on the right. Number 3 does the pull up. In the event that the pull up cannot be formed due to weather or having only a 3 ship, the place for number 3 is left open with number four leaving a space on the right. That was a regular 3-ship echelon formation in the vid.

@Jason411115 its not.,,,, that is the missing man formation. or missing man flyby...the aircraft performing the pull-up, split off, or missing from the formation, represents the fact that the person (or persons) being honored has died.
