A Day in the Life of a Dolphin Trainer

Here is a quick clip of a day at work!

For those of you who don't know I am a professional dolphin trainer.

I got a new camera built into a dive mask that takes underwater pictures and video, and I plan on using it a lot so expect new videos!

In the first part of the clip I am working with Huf and Puf an 11 year old female Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin, I am asking her for misc behaviors. At one point I look to my right to see my coworker come flying out of the water thanks to a ride from Duchess, another female Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin.

The last part of the clip is a video from one of our nighttime safety dives. It is Osborne and Cosmo two of our juvenile male Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins doing a few jumps together.

That's just the best job ever! ;o) I'm training with marine mammals too and love every second of it! For now I already trained with grey seals, Califorian sea lions and South African fur seals and I'm looking forward to work with dolphins one day but for now I can't (we don't have them in my country... at least not yet)... and off course I'm really looking forward to see more of your videos!
