Shoutouts to Flytetime producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who worked on both Cherelle and Alexander ONeals albums as well as numerous other artists and most notably were the force behind Janet Jacksons sound. They were members of Prince alumni band The Time but were fired for missing a show due to a snowstorm. They went on to form their own music company and develop the slow jam quiet storm signature sound that became a trademark style for many artists from the 80's up til today. Jam and Lewis!

@scientrophic You hit the nail on the head! It's not that Toro's version is bad, but this is so good it's damn well near perfection. ANYBODY trying to redo or recreate this song in their own image is going to pale in comparison. I'm an 80's junky but never heard this song until recently (I was a young white boy who's parents never listened to funk/r&b). When I heard this song I couldn't believe how good and haunting it is. In short, this song is miraculous.
