These are top 10 smartest dogs, made by Kennel Clubs, an official dog breed organization, based on how many repetitions it took for a certain breed to master a new command. The breeds on our list took at least 5 repetitions or less to learn a new command, and tended to obey first commands more than 95 per cent of the time. Don't be mad if your dog is not in this list ;p

I agree, the last picture featureing two dogs under poodles were Bichon Frise.
I agree that Collies are the tops, but I think the German Shepherd should have been number 2. Most of the guarding and hunting dogs are pretty smart. For the Collies and GSDs, I had a cross of the two and was warned by the vet to put a lock on the fridge or my Sunday lunch would be nicked by the dog. I never did get the lock and he never did steal any but his own food from his own cupboard shelf.

Hmmm...this is correct, just numbered wrong. The #10. Austrailian Cattel Dog, should be #2 or 1. They are just not as well known. Look up Skidboot, smartest dog that ever lived. You will not even see a Border Collie do what he did. But the BC, should be second to the ACD IMHO. After watching Skidboot, come back and comment...
