In this video, Sally Bibb and Paul Moore, former Head of Regulatory Risk and whistleblower at HBOS bank, discuss wrongdoing in business and give practical advice to help you make your business more ethical.
With trust in business being at an all time low, business ethics have never been more important. In this series of videos, Sally Bibb, business consultant, writer and speaker, talks about ethics in business. Her new book, The Right Thing: An everyday guide to ethics in business, helps you to make sense of everyday ethics, and gives tips on how you can recognise ethical issues and ensure you do the right thing.
A great wake up call!
Communicating organization values and aspirational behaviours is not enough. A healthy culture relies absolutely on what you do, not simply what you say. It is time for leaders to roll up their sleeves and tackle un-ethical practice so others will feel more free to do so too. What's the impact of those willing to stand up against un-ethical practices? Paul Moore's brave experience at HBOS is a pretty strong example.
Interesting discussion, I look forward to the book!
