Frankie Laine has been ( and allways will be) my very favorite singer. I have never heard anyone with such a voice so heart filled and meaningfull. Ust to get laught at for listening to him growing up in the 90's, But i never cared. Frankie was a great artist for both country and jazz alike. and a million times better than anything out there today country wise.

What a Classic! When music was more about the ability to sing.
a Truly remarkable achievement - 18 weeks as number one hit in the UK.

the first record I ever bought was by Frankie Laine my sister and I still remember it not just for the pleasure it gave but because I left it on a chair and my dad sat on it and of course records being as they were then it broke and we laugh about it still

I met him in VietNam and had the luck to speak to him for a few minutes. I had been introduced to him. About 5 years later, I'm flying out of the windy city at midnight. Yes, at that time you could, bound for LA and I run across Frankie. He approached me, remembered my name and where we met. What a great guy. In spite of success he was still a midwestern boy.
