Learn how to script reverse animations or manually reverse them in Flash CS3, CS4, CS5, or CS8000. This ActionScript 3.0 trick may save you time when dealing with long intricate timeline animations that you need reversed. It may be just the Flash AS3 tip you needed.

  • Very nice job ;DD

  • also "wouldn't work" i meant sorry...about with the animated motion tween using the as3 code.

  • This wont work for an imported video clip correct? Because Ive tried and tried and am giving up. I used the code against a movie clip made in flash cs3 and animated with motion tween, and it also would work. I tried your non uber dork way, and that worked for the tween, still am not able to play my video backward though. Actually, all I want to do anyway, is have the end of the video repeat backwards so it never looks like it is restarting. For example, ever flowing water, or wind on a branch...

  • can you tell me how to do it in AC2.0

  • Great guide, thanks!

    (I like how this movie is 1337 long)

  • Hello, I liked very much your video, but I have a question: What if I have a button to make this function adn I want to stop in a specific frame, how can I do it?

    I wrote this:

    rewind_btn.onPress = function () {

    onEnterFrame = function () {

    prevFrame();

    prevFrame();

    }

    }

    And it works but the reverse is payed untill the first frame of my first scene, and the button is in the third scene.

    Please can you help me?

  • CS8000?
