that drive shaft swinging around like that aint to good.

you could be upwards of 250hp with a turbo!thats conservative.
-
The main problem is the engine is as low as it can be without hitting the front axle, and it is 1/8" off the cab. As the turbo charger air manifold is another 8" higher, I would have to chop a lot out of the cab which is a lot of its strength. Also its more of a problem when they go wrong.
As the original engine was 77BHP, and this engine is 130BHP, I think I will see quite a difference in its preformance.

@yellowdisco I suppose I sound like a northern version of Mr Bean.

nice one, what gearbox are you using or did you make an adaptor plate?

@V8FORESTJIM Its a Spicer box which came with the engine. Apparently very good. Crawler 1st gear and overdriven 5th.
I will be making a transfer box out of a series-3 box, but altering the ratio to overdrive the output. Not that easy to do but its possible with my machines.

Hope to see some more updates as the build progresses. My 2a rebuild/v8 conversion took 3 years to finish, been evolving for another 6 and nowhere near as complex as yours, Good luck, and look forward to seeing the finished article!

@V8FORESTJIM I want to get it running for June time for the land rover shows. Finished - that may take decades!
