McDonald's coffee is pretty good. Then I talk about 4 gay labels that are used and debated here in Seattle.

  • Hey man,always enjoy your videos.Yeah wouldn't pay for those coffee's.

  • jbg42: Thanks! Sometimes I find myself just rattling off about nothing and then sometimes, there just isn't much to say.

  • Hi Craig!! Great vid! When it comes to labels..the one I accept without issue is the tag my parents gave me; "Eva"..why do we have to be tagged? I see no need for labels, we are who we are just like everyone else..:) Have a great weekend!! (hit 90 degrees here..:)

  • Eva: I agree with you whole heartedly! What?? 90 degrees? That is insane. We usually have a couple of weeks of 90 degree weather in mid to late July but not this early. But it looks like it may warm up today so we are heading downtown to get some shopping done and to enjoy the sun!

  • Snow? omg That's amazing! I'll have to try McD's latte. I tried their iced cofee and loved it! Sophie is sooo cute! I prefer the term gay. I HATE the term fag, it just seems so mean spirited. Homo seems outdated and queer, to me, makes it sound like there's something wrong with you. I like the term gay. Although, really, the best term us just human. That's what we all are, the rest is irrelevent, really. All people are different.

Not wrong, just different. Hugs to you & Shawn,

    Joanie

  • Joanie: I agree with you completely. It seems many people in the gay community identify themselves by their sexuality. If someone were to ask me who I was, gay wouldn't even be in the top 20 characteristics I would give because that's not really who I am. I am so many other things that are much more important to me. That's not to say I would deny that part of me, but what you said, sums it up perfectly: human is human. Hope you're doing well. You're still in our prayers every day!

  • I was in Seattle once and was floored by all the Starbucks and coffee lexicons you have there. I think Starbucks is really overrated (i.e. overpriced) but I definitely do not like McDonald's either.

  • Brad: That is the next question. We've succumbed to partner. I very much dislike gay couples who call each other husband. And significant other sounds very legal, like in company newsletters. We used to think soul mate was a good choice, but then it seemed like we were trying to make a point.

  • Susan: It was one of those glasses kind of days. I can be lazy and not worry about going out. Shawn drinks coffee and he usually goes to the Starbucks by his work and gets an Americano filled in his Starbucks cup.

And I never understood the "hag" thing. Most best girlfriends are beautiful and we tell you that. I guess it's the rhyme thing that keeps it going.
