  • I, too, get goosebumps! I have no idea what he is singing about, but it is beautiful! They say if you don't understand the words, but are drawn in emotionally, you somehow or another just touched by it! And I, for one, believe that, because before Neal, I HATED opera music! I just had no ideo what I was even hating! Ignorance, huh?

  • Beautiful... I'm amazed....so the New Pavarotti is born!!!

  • OMG!! I did'nt like opera either and don't understand but Neals voice is so BEAUTIFUL that it draws you in.I agot goosebumps too!!!

  • @donnafromcape It's from the opera 'Turandot' (a Persian Princess) by Puccini.

The aria is 'Nessun Dorma' (no one sleeps) sung by the character Calaf. His father's land has been seized by the Persian Empire, which stretched all the way to China, and he hopes to win the hand of the princess and succeed her father to the throne, whereupon he will return his father's land. No one knows who Calaf is, so the King issued an edict that no one sleeps in the kingdom until Calaf's identity is revealed.

  • He got better. I didn't love his singing when he was on AGT. But I think its much improved.

  • I understand that people in classical music circles/opera will find plenty to critique about his technique or sound, but that is far from disliking the performance. He has the vocal talent to sing many of the big Tenor Arias which is nothing short of a feat in itself.

Seems you just can't please some people (8 dislikes).

  • such beatiful sound

  • God Bless
