  • Actually, FumeFX is pretty fast for a fluid simulator. A fast computer helps, of course, but the graphics card won't help one bit with the speed of the sim. You need two things: lots of CPU power, and a good deal of RAM also is required to do bigger simulations.

  • is there anyway to find a tutorial for this

  • @shadesters No probs

  • @RemixXFX Oh ok, yea I thought when you said "with 1GB DDR3 you meant your computers RAM not graphic RAM, my bad

  • @shadesters No, 1GB DDR3 is the GPU unit. I got 4GB DDR3 of RAM... Forgot to add that =P

  • @RemixXFX you got a quad-core processor, and a good graphics card (which doesnt really help in 3d programs) but you only got 1GB RAM!? that's where your problem is... get some more RAM and you will see the speed increase a lot

  • That is amazing. I love FumeFX but it's too damn slow, the simulations I mean. I have a new and expensive computer (QuadCore, nVidia GeForce 9800 with 1GB DDR3)

  • thats tutorial work... :)

  • Nice test, keep it up...

  • awesome! care to share what settings u've used to achieve this?
