my sporterized mosin nagant ati,scope, problems i encountered

review of the mosin nagant rifle im sporterising, info for others who are considering modding this awesome weapon. this was all done tongue in cheek (kinda) the fact i referanced video games and mentioned it was my only gun was to let yall know how non expert i am. i guess i didnt "play the part" well enough cos some people are confused as to my intentions. without patronising you i was relaxed and comedically talking about MY mosin from a non right wing/stick up the arse/gun snob, gun owners perspective.

Nice conversion. I've heard many people have to trim so much off of the ATI stock that I'm a little nervous to get one and even more nervous that I might fuck it up when I go to work on it.

I really think that if I put a scope on mine, it's going to be a repro "stock" scope, but I'm probably just gonna stick with tritium or fibre sights. Maybe a red dot.

@gymkhanadog lol i know right... its not bad.. just time consuming... my scope setup didnt work.. kept sliding loose... as a last ditch effort i had cut notched in the ring bases and driven posts through the existing pin holes to try and keep it secure... i like the idea of tritium sights.. that would be cool.

Love the review! I stopped shooting my 91/30 in favor of my M44.

Maybe if I get the monte carlo stock, I'll shoot it more often. I should just go to ebay and buy the kit that has the curved bolt handle and some drill bits and make it weaver rail ready....

I'm broke and I have a NcStar scope laying around, so I'll prolly just cut into it. But, I like the way your mosin turned out.
