@NBAfan91 Sure you can. Flash can reproduce any heavy-lined, flat graphical style. A lot of it just comes in how you animate it. Other animation programs, like Toon Boom, have even more flexibility.

great tutorial! you animated the penguin in flash and then put in after effects, is it possible to animate in after effects? because i dont have flash..

@MrsPortgas It's possible to animate images and puppets in After Effects using tweens, but hand drawn animation like said penguin is not possible. If you have Photoshop, you could use the Animation Panel to do hand-drawn work, though.

This is exactly what I wanted to see. I adore Flash, but it can only take you so far. Coupled with planing effects and AE's camera and lighting system, my animating world just opened up before me. Great tutorial.
