stealth bomber hit and run # 3

situation = a lone tech 2 frigate searching the inventory of one of it's secured containers in space near a gate.

target = buzzard covert ops frigate.

target's mindset = "bah, this won't take very long. i just need to search for something cuz i hate to go back to station or pos to re-supply....besides, there is no one here."

target's actions = ship is idle. most likely pilot is searching through inventory. since the ship is right next to the container, it is not able to cloak.

result;

1] target is in his pod seconds after i decloak and initiate the alpha-strike sequence.

2] i attempt to pop the pod but pilot warps out. i instead destroy his wreck to inflict maximum isk loss.

3] while laffing, i cannot help but notice the adrenaline rush, despite the easy kill.

it is technically possible but not realistic. this ship was a one shot one kill machine. by being forced into group play to have any type of effectiveness the alpha strike tactics are essentially gone, and so is the fun.

it would be best to have a discussion in the 39th vide, not here.

i am mainly keeping the videos up for archival purposes to show players how it was since they can no longer used for training purposes.

That booster is probably scripted for lock time, and bombers are now most effective at 30-50km because you have to wait for torpedo detonation to recloak an at that range it doesn't take long, anything farther and they have time to lock you while waiting for the hit. Fuckin CCP. The ships already paper thin, it should be a bit better in some ways. Still effective in a pack though

Stealth Bombers are such fun lil ships good for sneaking up and wasteing a target then cloaking and flying off :) I love my Stealth Bomber.
