The magnificent LNER class A4 locomotive 4468 Mallard arrives back at the National Railway Museum in York, ready for going on display from 22 July. See this record-breaking locomotive on the turntable - and, from August, step onto its footplate. http://nrm.org.uk/mallard

  • Nice umbrella highlight of the video. LOL

  • Its blue? I thought it was BR Green?

  • yes, shes back in york, well done NRM :)

  • @Jamiethebrave

To Replace Flying Scotsman as she is going to late out again

She was leaving early to go to Germany for a few months to stand next to the Loco she beat in the Speed record. She is still going to Germany just later than planned. She will then be returned to York

  • Today, 4468 will be display at the NRM Turntable. Tommorow, step on Mallard's cab and learn that how Mallard broke the steam record.

  • ahh, the great mallard

  • I wish the Mallard could return to steam.

  • I don't like that idea. Hogwarts Express going on display at york? BAD IDEA! I was going to hire that engine to run from London King's Cross to the Harry Potter theme park in Scotland. I only designed my theme park but I can't build it because my budget.

  • I thought Mallard was in Shildon till 2012. how come she is back in York eariler than expected?

  • Nice to see two great locomotives running at the same time.
