It is a red herring to say certain countries or ethnic groups are more responsible/more destructive than others. Homo Sapiens - we the people, are equally responsible. And we're not to blame, that's just us - the level to which we've evolved has caused massive destruction long before there were nations and states and literacy and cancer-causing pollutants. We need to know our history as a species: Read Megafauna: The First Victims of Human-caused extinction by Baz Edmeades
They are trying to fool all this dumb people raising this flag of preservation
They are actually just trying to diverge the attention from THEM... that pollute everything and want to blame poor countries... and saying that the poor countries are the ones to blame... Not them with non-stop production and consumption
I see this and I really want to do something to help.. but I am limited but not knowing where to direct my time and resources. What can *I* do?? we need to talk about this!
No, right this minute the technology isn't advanced enough; in most cases so far the DNA has been too far deteriorated. The recent case involving the insertion of genetic material from the extinct Tasmanian Tiger into cells of a mice have more immediate applications in Biomedicine. Wouldn't it just be better to avoid wiping out biodiversity in the first place ? Let's hope the new prognosis regarding the fate of the shark is wildly off-centre.
