IDF Field Hospital in Haiti

Comments posted on my You Tube video page "Israeli Doctors in Haiti" made reference to a CBS News report referring to Israel as the "Rolls Royce of emergency medical care." As I am a skeptic by nature, I was very interested and curious to see if this was true or an internet fib. After a little bit of research I tracked down the clip.

I didn't see anything to differentiate their set up from any other military field hospital. The Israelis are renowned for handling large numbers of casualties in a short time span, but that's about it. Good for them for being there, to be sure, but lots of other elite medical teams on the ground there as well.

Israel was the only Country that had the 'machines' (i.e. radiology) set up in the first week.

The IDF field hospital -- replete with imaging equipment and operating rooms -- was operational within 10 hours of its arrival, prompting one CNN reporter to ask how the Israelis, flying from the other side of the world, were medically up and running while a nearby U.S. field hospital was still in disarray.

Well they had an advanced field hospital setup way before the Americans setup their own. They moved in to help faster than others.

May G-d continue to help the Israelis to help others. We are proud of you Israel for saving lives in Haiti. None of the 52 muslims arab countries came to help, they should be ashamed of themselves.
