Although you can watch this as a stand alone episode, it actually forms the second part of a story which begins in Episode 7. I hope you enjoy it. I could wax lyrical about this show and Christopher Neame in particular for days. For more info about the series visit the excellent fan site "Le Candide", at;

'Allo 'Allo has totally ruined Secret Army for me. I keep expecting the inspector to say 'Good Moaning'!!

Many resistance were Communist and maintained their connections. Likewise, so were others involved in the Black Market. Heroin was not a major European drug before the late 1970s, so it's unlikely they would have been into that; cocaine and marijuana possibly
What this shows so different from most WWII series is how much backhander bribes were involved at least as much as any ideals for one side or the other - and that there were far more than two simple sides. Today we see that in Afghanistan

after the war many resistance members found it impossible to return to normal life and most of them became drug dealers.they used their network to move heroin all over europe-everywhere except germany-they refused to sell to them despite appeals from chancellor adenauer.once their main smuggler was caught at paris airport...but de gaulle stepped in and he even made sure he got his drugs back.

That policeman's motto seems to be, 'I only drink when I'm ON duty'.
