My 200 lumen sure fire will do that too if you let it get hot? Will it set a bad guy on fire is the real question?!?!!??!?!

yeah i see it, video is fake, you can see the video.

Custom lights like this isn't recommended for the average user for (1) availability and cost of WA bulbs. (2) Price ($250 for the Borealis). (3) Over charging of battery pack. (If you intend to charge straight from the battery pack. (4) Also you may need to let the battery pack discharge the extra voltage before use or you end up poofing the bulb.
If you want to get into custom/modded flashlights, this light should be your starting point, that or a ROP.

Obviously you haven't been around flashlights this powerful.

Well, not sure if this is fake, but if you look closely, there is an insect crawling on the curb (bottom left) at :13, and at :14 it vanishes.

Regarding your post, that 1/2 second is questionable. Only thing I could come up with is a very very quick pause then record or edited by a video editor.

I can assure you that I did not pause it.
I was using a Kyocera SL300R camera to record the video.
Not a great camera, but that pause which you may be a hiccup in the frame rate.
All I wanted is to prove that a flashlight can start a fire even if it is 1/4 the power of the other flashlights here on youtube.
You made a good point earlier stating that people owned a flightlight that powerful which gives them the right to criticize what they don't know.

Oh no, I wasn't trying to disprove this at all as I, too, own a Borealis 1050, only merely trying to figure out why the insect just disappear.
Your name seems familiar. If you're the creator of the Borealis, I probably purchased the light from you about a year ago.
I bring it to Ocean Beach every time near the fire pits and people would always look my way.

I can assure you I am not the creator.
I can't blame them for looking your way. It's a great light!

doesnt it look like he lit it with a lighter whatch 1:19 through 1:23. Looks like he has a lighter in his hand and he strikes it

I can assure you I don't have a light in my hand. I did that to channel the air necessary to start a fire. Even if I used a lighter, the same techniques will apply because you need the right amount of air to create a flaming ball of newspaper. Try light a piece of paper that is flat. Now try to light up a ball of the same paper. There will be a difference.
