U2 360 Houston 10.14.2009
Bono sings "Your Blue Room" from the bridge at the 360 show in Houston.

U2 needs to take me with them on tour as their "Official Video Bootlegger" :D

Just wanted to share with all the fans that were there but might not have had the view that I had...and fans who couldn't make it.
I was extremely blessed that day. Drove 4 hours from Dallas, Got there at 5PM. There was a long line and I thought my chances of getting into the inner circle was next to impossible. As I got to the end of the line, I asked the people in front of me if this was the GA line and they said "There's only one line for both GA and Seats." I thought it couldn't be right since Dallas show had separate lines for people with seats. I left the line to ask more people up ahead. They all told me the same thing. Then the line started moving and I got back in, thinking there might actually be a chance if some of these people have seats. When I got to the gate I heard them re-directing everyone with seats to go to another line. Sucks for them but the line cleared up before my eyes and I was inside the stadium before I knew it. When I got to the field, there was another obstacle. The crowd was building up in front of the stage and I would be 20 deep, which was still good but I am short and I wanted something better...a spot that's unobstructed by someone tall. As I stood there looking at all those people in the inner circle, I just thought to myself "I have to find a way in there, but it's impossible because it's full. Why else would all these people be standing outside?" I didn't have that much to lose by walking around and coming back later, so I thought about taking a walk around the whole stage. As I made my way to the red zone, there was another security check point and I thought "Darn, that's the Red Zone gate. I can't even walk around and see the whole stage." Then I heard the security girl yell to me, "Show me your ticket. Have your tickets out please." I complied just to see what would happen. The worse they could do is turn me around....but what's this? They're ushering me through. "I got him already," she tells the other security guard. I'm floating on air...this can't be happening. They're letting me into the Red Zone. They're going to find out sooner or later that I don't belong in here. But what's the worse that can happen? I just want to see what it looks like...but what's this? I going through an entrance that look like...OMG!!! IT'S THE INNER CIRCLE!

From the moment I left the house in Dallas I ran into all these obstacles from driving at break neck speeds and willing to pay the speeding ticket if I got one; barely missing the traffic buildup in downtown Houston; trying to find the stadium; facing a long line outside; facing a growing crowd inside; I always keep the hope and determination of getting into the Inner Circle...and I now I was actually inside. It was a surreal moment that I stop myself and take it all in. Sometimes you can't follow what the crowd does. You have to strike out on your own. This time it paid off nicely.

I want to share my view of this show with all the people who were there...or wanted to be there at the show but couldn't make it. It's my way of saying thanks to the universe for bringing me so much luck that day!

Technical details:
================
Shot with a Panasonic ZS3, 16gig Classic 6 Patriot SD card.
I saw this camera in action from Jon who was standing next to me at the Dallas show (Monday).
I was completely sold on it and ran out to get it at Fry's on Tuesday.
On Wed I was still trying to read the manual on the way to the Houston show.
I wasn't use to the controls and gave up playing with the buttons in the dark during the show so I just made videos of most of it. Arms are sore today (Thursday) but the footage came out great!
If I had a tripod, extra batteries and maybe another 16gig SD card for backup, I think I could have recorded the entire show...including Muse.
