Uhhm, that is 100% normal, reverse thrust only get's engadged AFTER the main landing gear touch down. there is absolutly NO reverse thrust applied while in flight, it would cause the plane to crash. If you mean that he was late to rais the flaps and spoilers, yes he was but that dosn't matter at all.
