This is my edit of the duel with Count Dooku in Episode III. It was, in my opinion, the best duel in the film and therefore required the least amount of work.

Various trims here and there serve to tighten things up and eliminate the more absud aspects of the sequence. Looking over it again, I think I would add a couple more seconds of Anakin's silent pondering over whether or not to kill Dooku, but other than that this is pretty much my definitive version.

As an aside, I've always thought Dooku should have a purple lightsaber. So in my ideal version of Star Wars, he would be the only one with a purple blade, and Mace Windu would have a blue one as originally intended.

  • star killer?

  • @STR33TSofJUST1C3 Well, Dooku was deliberately teasing the Jedi at first, underpowering himself greatly. Only when they revealed in turn THEY had been underpowering themselves, did Dooku take the fight more seriously. By then, he poise and balance had been thrown. Even so, it goes to show even when tricked, Dooku lashed out and knocked the Sith slayer Obi Wan right out of action. Dooku wound Anakin up with Dun Moch - and it backfired instead of disorientated. Skywalker won because Dooku weakened

  • @Theseus1000 It was that Palpatine would save Dooku when he was overwhelmed, but saw that Anakin was better than Dooku, so he betrayed the Count bu letting him die.

Form III: Soresu: Good protection against numerous lightsabers (e.g. Grievous), enough power left to use force.

Form II: Makashi: Simple but accurate and dangerous, enough power to use force, but raw power can draw the power away from the Form II user. Djem So=Super agressive + defensive

  • @BrockL191 Anakin uses Djem So: Super agressive and super defensive

Obi uses Soresu: Very defensive but still able to use enough force

Count uses Makashi: Very accurate and swiftly and able to use many force powers

Obi wan 'killed' anakin with a force technique, anakin's technique wasn't able to protect him from such a force attack and lost his limbs.

  • @nicotipro1 Makashi practicers use style and finesse instead of raw power. with simple fluries, dooku was still able to use the preserved power he didn't use in combat to knock obi wan away and drop a platform on him. Anakin used Djem So, a mastered form of Shien. Shien is the most defensive form there is. Djem So adds the agressive into the style, making it very powerful and the only style to defeat Makashi. Djem So can be easily defeated with Force, since Djem So does not preserve power.

  • @BrockL191 In the end he didn't, he died like a pussy.

  • I don't think Count Dooku should die. Because he is my favorite character.

  • It sounds a litle random when Palpatine suddenly says," Kill him...kill him now,"

  • @turbodizel lol yeah but in star wars they do for some reason. Watch Return of the Jedi or other ones and you will see the same thing. Also, they are completely opaque and not actualy made of light from my understanding (Its just an awesome name) so the shadow in the star wars universe could make sense. But yes light doesnt give off a shadow typically.

  • I own a couple of master replicas lightsabres and none of them has a shadow when theyre on... cept for the hilt. :)
