Wake up!

The right repeatedly says that things are bad (while occasionally saying things are good at the same time) and that we need change. Unfortunately, what they offer is most obviously more of the same.

According to Fact Check.org John McCain has voted with Bush 95% and 100% of the time this year and last year. John McCain supports current defense spending (increasing it, potentially) as well as supporting even MORE tax cuts than we've already implemented.

Tell me how this will fix our problems? In any other country the opposition would be carried into office in a parade of balloons and flowers, but here, in America, we continually lie to the public in an effort to get elected, facts and morals be damned.

This is so simple even the dimwitted failure Ronald Reagan even understood it, and frequently used it to Jimmy Carter's detriment in the 1980 Presidential Election campaign.

The following is a quote from Ronald Reagan, something that conservatives who respect Reagan should take a long hard thinking about because it applies now more than ever.

"It might be well if you ask yourself are you better off than you were four years ago? Is it easier for you to go and buy things in the stores than it was four years ago? Is there more or less unemployment in the country than there was four years ago? Is America as respected throughout the world as it was? Do you feel that our security is as safe? That we're as strong as we were four years ago? And if you answer all of those questions yes, why then I think your choice is very obvious as to who you'll vote for. If you don't agree, if you don't think that this course that we've been on for the last four years is what you would like to see us follow for the next four, then I could suggest another choice that you have." Ronald Reagan, 1980 Presidential Debate

  • I greatly appreciate this video, but you need to find a new mic. Despite that fact, this is an AWESOME video because all of these nut jobs stuck in the 40's, 50's and 60's need to get a clue. The just want to keep the government WHITE and what I mean by that is they don't want people of color in government and fixing things and have to concede that this man brought us back from the brink which I believe at this point is nearly IMPOSSIBLE but that is just me....

  • Yeah I know. When i got my new computer the sound recorder turned out to be alot more sensitive than the last so if i get too loud or use "p" sounds too much the sound breaks out. Ill try to find another sound recorder.

If you have one in mind let me know.

  • The chart is deceptive because it ignores intragovernmental debt. There was no Clinton surplus.

  • @palapescada are you a sociopath or something? You help people who need help. life isn't all about money. Haven't we learn't from the bible that money is the root of all evil... God will judge all these people who dont try and help other's instead of just themselves. More then 90% of america is middle class or less fortunate. let the weak die and the strong survive. that should be the republican slogan.

  • The problems we have were not caused by Bush, they were caused by 50+ years of liberal democrats spending us into bankruptcy on their bleeding heart social programs which have done nothing except create a new permanent class of people who are utterly dependant on the government. This True Blue Crusader guy is like all liberals, nauseatingly self-righteous, and his whiney delivery and frequent use of the f-word shows his ignorance and lack of respect for his audience. Poor little girly boy...

  • Ahaha, so much for the American people "needing to wake up." We will never see this kind of deficit spending ever again, hopefully. And Clinton didn't "balance the budget," he just didn't spend more than he received in taxes for two years. The debt was still astronomical. This is like praising the thief for leaving you with enough money to get a cab home.

  • You seem to confuse Deficit and Debt as the same thing.

The fact of the matter is that they are not.

  • You do realize that with each straw man one errects, the legitimacy of one's unfounded fears and sweeping generalizations and slippery slope postulation grows even less and less.

  • Pooor Boy. My heart bleeds for you... boo hooo boo hooo LOL :-))

  • The american peoples need to wake up? lol

  • Sigh...guess I paid for your left wing socialist liberal education...If your boy gets in I'm sure my pockets will be empty. Oh wait, I can hop on the welfare wagon...wait, I'm white, served my country in shit holes around the world, and not a Muslim terrorist advocate....sigh

  • Yes! The REPUBLICAN controled House and Congress eliminated the "Deficet" not the national debt. The word deficet is a fancy word for the interest [compounded] that we pay for the loaned money we owe somebody in T-Bills or other commodity. Example we "owe" the Japanese X ammount of barrels of oil from the Alaskan Pipeline each year to repay our debt to them for lending us money in the

    1980's.
