I can not decide in your place, guy. I just like shooters on PC more than on console. PC hardware is worth alot and you shouldn't impulse purchase such a thing. I guess you should try it out at a friend or so...

And the best war game? I would advice you to try-out Red Orchestra and/or Battlefield 2: Project Reality.

I've heard that ARMA II is good too. I'm looking forward to Battlefield 3 at this moment.
