Blue Fin Seahawk: Conversion from side to custom-center console.

I started this project in Sept 07 and had successful shakedown in Apr 08. Alot of work ahead but she's seaworthy and that's what matters most!
- Total tearout
- Rebuilt with exterior-grade ply encapsulated in epoxy/fiberglass
- Finished with Interlux Prime-Kote + Perfection
- Fitted with '83 35hp Evinrude
- Morse MT3 Shift/Throttle Control

  • Awesome Job!! Thanks for posting.

  • @brettswindell Great job on your conversion! I've also struggled with windshields as I need it to fold-down. now i have a winter project :) you have great taste in outboards btw :)

  • console seemed a bit too far forward, working out ok?anything you wish was different?Im building a aluminum 19ft centerconsole starcraft right now.

  • @MegaLargemouthbass console position is approximately the same as was the side-console. We fish rivers for bluecats, carp and stripers so we need as much of the back open as possible. I can't think of anything that i'd change. I do wish the boat was a bit larger/wider. good luck on your project!

  • I was loving this video and how much fun it must have been ,,but then when i heard you mention the newburgh beacon bridge i nearly fell off my chair i grew up in newburgh and miss that river we used to sit by gullys and watch all the boats getting launched ,,great job u should come to florida and showw these guys how to really put shit together,,,,

  • @MrJaetone I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! It was a very rewarding experience restoring/customizing this boat! I fish the mighty Hudson almost every other weekend. Watching the fiasco at the newburgh launch while enjoying a beer at gullies is definitely a 1-of-a-kind experience! thanks for the comment!!
