Footage taken from my VHSc Camcorder of Class 312 Slam Door EMUs on the Colchester to Walton-On-Naze daytime stoppers and a 12 Car on peak hour Liverpool St to Clacton Service passing Giles Crossing near to Clacton. Other Stations include Walton On Naze Kirby Cross Thorpe Le Soken Great Bentley Thorrington Wivenhoe Hythe Colchester. Liverys include NSE and First Great Eastern. Note the search light signals and mechanical banner repeaters at Hythe Station all now removed.
Great video and superb units like all the 1st GEN Overhead EMU's great sounding and I imagine a very comfy ride too 87006.

This is a damn good video and thank you for sharing it. They had no right to get rid of these old units; there was plenty of life left in them. They run 1938 trains on the Isle of Wight for God's sake!
