I remember my father playing this when I was a kid, I probably still have the 78 . . .great song for its day . . . but then along came doo wop, and for me, that changed everything. Thank you for posting this wonderfull memory. Beth Wishes!

LOL, You are not misunderstanding nothing.
Radio Exitos was a Mexican radio station in Mexico city, back in the 50's and 60's this song os the Ames brothers was their I.D.
They changed the lyrics to Spanish, instead of spelling "rag mop" they spell the I.D of the station (X.E.R.C) .
It sounded very nice.
I' going to search for that I.D. and I'll let you know.
