  • wksufreshair, thank you so much for posting these Asimov interviews. It is people like yourself who keep the memories of great writers alive.

  • goddammit, that host is really annoying with his "witty" interruptions. when you bring a man like Asimov in your studio, shut up and let him speak !!!

  • @breakfastisgo It's really astonishing that such a brilliant man could be so humble.

  • "Oh, I doubt that anyone will say I'm a great writer."

Couldn't have possibly been more wrong.

  • Too bad they didn't have a robot interview him; it would have been a lot better.

  • @1Arky1 In Greece the "Foundation" series are called "Galactic Empire" ( 1 to 6 ), for reasons that only the greek publishers know. Anyway I always had the curiosity to see what will happen after they have found R. Oliwaw, but Asimov never continued the series.

The amazing thing with this story is that Asimov is beginning with a lot of "pre-sequels" ( like "Caves of steel", "The naked sun", etc ) and he is creating an enormous puzzle of a continues plot that ends surprisingly apocalyptic!

  • Thanx for this amazing video ( series of videos to be correct ). He was an amazing, unique and a "looking ahead" writer ( and scientist ). His death was a big loss for the sci-fi community and the biology progress.

  • I just finished Foundation and Earth and I am still amazed. Isaac is a genoius.

  • You've gotta love Asimov's mutton-chops.

  • 1938? I thought his first story was published in 1939.

  • asimov was way too humble....perhaps that was his only weakness

  • Thank you so much for this, I think we all here miss Asimov fortunately we have enough to read.
