Running EVE on my EeePC with standard CPU speed (630 Mhz) and original ASUS R2H graphicsdriver and Enhanced driver.

Update: Sadly CCP has stopped support for the "Classic" version with only Shader 2.0 support. From now on, EVE Online can't be played anymore on such old hardware :(

  • Do you have some modifications or is it the normal eeepc?

  • this is the normal eeepc running at 630 mhz. currently the "boost patch" of cpp ruined some o the fps, but hopefully they bring it back with a fix!

  • as in, which one u use. i use latest r2h drivers for vista though but i have xp, works fine.

  • what is your enhanced driver?

  • it's 701. It has asus label under the screen and 630 MHz CPU =)

  • what EeePC is this? 900? 701? what? im getting a 1000H and i wonder if it would play eve better or worse then the one your playing on now. plz reply soon, cheers.

  • This looks great, seeing as all you want to do on the run in eve is work on skills and chat. Seeing as you can't really play Eve without 3 + hours :)

  • o/ Dude, thanks so much for posting this. I dont have my eeepc yet - been holding out for a 9" one - but been looking for ages for info about whether Eve would run on it. Concensus was that it wouldnt due to lack of shaders.

Thats gonna be so handy for skill switching at work etc.. Strike another one for the EeePC :D

    Cannot wait now.

Oh, any chance of some info on the drivers you used ? or any other notes about getting it to run ?

    Thx :)

  • That is seriously awesome! I wonder if the new model EeePC will be able to run it playably. Still, looks like it might be possible to have a trading alt.

  • lol funny ship wink wink
