Flash flooding - Coldstream VIC 16/2/2011

Flash flooding in Coldstream VIC on 16/2/2011. Video was shot about 5 minutes after the main heavy rain had stopped. Probably more than 50-60mm fell in the space of 5-10 minutes. The vehicle that went off the side of the road may have aquaplaned into the water, failing to see it (I don't now how you could miss it!) Either that, or he's driven on the left side, right into the deep water, instead of driving in the middle or the right side, which had less water.

We pulled him out, don't worry. He was in so much shock that when he was dragged back out onto the road, he didn't stop when we yelled to him, and then ended up going backwards off the other side of the road, into a ditch. We struggled for a bit, but eventually got the car out again.
