Part two of my entry for mzzjudylee's anywriter contest!

It was dusk now, the sun a bright orange fireball sinking into the darkening heliotrope horizon. The air had cooled considerably and the streets were nearly deserted. Ana bit her lip, hesitating warily. She wasn't the type of girl to wander off into dark woods alone at night with random -- albeit gorgeous -- strangers. But there was just something about him that made her trust him, something that made her feel safe and protected.
"Okay", she conceded, following him into the forest. The trees towered above them, creating a canopy of darkness. Their footsteps crunched softly on the blanket of leave and pine needles that covered the forest floor. An animal rustled in the bushes nearby. Ana jumped at the sound. Caiden chuckled softly and dropped her hand to draw a protective arm around her shoulders.
"Don't be scared," he reassured her. "I won't let anything happen to you."
Ana leaned into him, loving the feel of his strong arm around her. Caiden smiled in the darkness. Everything was finally falling into place. Just a few more moments, he told himself. He reveled in the thought of the soft skin of her neck giving way beneath his sharp daggers, like biting into the firm flesh of an apple. He closed his eyes in a brief moment of delicious anticipation and sighed contentedly.
"Here we are" he said, pointing to his right. Hidden in an overgrown clearing was a small playground, the rusted metal structures consumed by tangled vines and weeds. An ancient slide, swing set, and merry-go-round sat dejectedly, neglected and forgotten.
"It's beautiful," Ana breathed, stepping out from underneath Caiden's arm and taking a step closer. "In an eerie, sad, woebegone way. But still beautiful".
"Yes," Caiden agreed in a strange voice, his eyes locked on the feminine curve of Anastasia's neck. "Beautiful".
Ana spun around, hearing the change in his tone. The jade color of his eyes had darkened and a malicious smirk was etched across his chiseled jaw.
"Um, I should go," Ana said, her voice shaking. "It's getting late".
"No," Caiden said firmly. "I can't let you do that".
He grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him, crushing her body against his. She struggled, squirming fruitlessly in his vice-like grip, the growing fear showing palpably in her azure eyes. Her ineffectual fists beat futilely against his chest. Good. He liked a little struggle. He smiled, his venomous fangs extending themselves.
"Caiden," She whimpered. "Please let me go".
"No can do, darling. I've been waiting much too long for this" He slid his lips down her neck, flicking his tongue against the pulse at the base of her neck. "Beautiful," he breathed.
He curled back his lips and bit.
