This is a new never before seen animated/cgi short of Red vs Blue, straight from Rooster Teeth's panel at PAX08 on August 29th, 2008. If you want to see the full high quality version, it has been released on the Red vs Blue Reconstruction DVD, on sale at www.redvsblue.com.
For all of you asking about their future plans with this animated project, check the video response that I posted. We interviewed Geoff at PAX09 and he gave us some good information we think you will like.

Every episode cost a LOT of money, like maybe three times as much just to animate like this, and pay all their actors.
Secondly, they were already looking into a new type of 3D animating which was a lot cheaper to do which you can now see in Season 9 that would help crossover easier and make sense. Not to mention they were planning a whole new series like the recollection or blood gulch chronicles for this series but wanted to focus all their ideas on already common ground, and therefore the pr

@milad2007halo3 Yeah, um, they kinda decided against it. Since they like the new animated sequences with Monty Oum so much more than this. And it costed a shit-ton of money to make just this one video.

At PAX East 2010, it was strongly implied by the staff that production on Red vs. Blue: Animated has come to a halt, for reasons of time constraints and money issues. Geoff Ramsey commented, "We're just too lazy to work on it we like our own schedule; we just can't work with someone else's timeframe." At the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, Rooster Teeth declared the project dead. sorry guys im sad too ;(
