fraps works brilliantly--- if you run it off of a seperate harddisk. Sources recorder kicks ass in source games.

You obviously gave no props or chances to Fraps, your computer sucks balls thats why it lagged.
If you had a better computer, Fraps would've recorded it at an amazing progressive resolution with high quality music!

Just a note: Portal 2 Source Recorder doesn't show Gels! This may be good and bad (Good for videos where you pretend that you know how to walk fast, bad for videos that are for walkthroughs, etc.)

When I try and open the avi. file it says "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."
