Well, if I had just titled it "Cycling" people might have been directed to a site on removing a pedal or packing a bike... etc... Each has its place... but thought a broader, more descriptive title would better suggest the content.

This video is about the best and worst of cycling... the purity of the sport, the corruption of the sport, and the ego of the sport.
There are some questionable and contemptible characters in the cycling... the nude cyclist among them... but they add intrigue to the sport... and they get a place in this video.
In a conversation with fellow cycling enthusiasts, I'll make my positive and negative comments. With this video, I'll make them another way... it's another form of expression.

Walking out of the bagle shop the other day when this guy rides up in his full Astana kit. I was just thinking "yah, right...you wish." Took a second look, noted the veins in the legs, the fact that he was about 5'10", 150 tops, and the frame that said "Horner", and changed my mind. He came out, I'm looking at his bike (sooo nice) and he talks to me for a good 7 minutes. Nicest guy you'd ever hope to meet. Great coincidence and a real cool dude. Inspirational.

Very cool. In Los Angeles, a number of pro riders join local rides. Rode with Rahsaan Bahati recently. Regardless of what you might think about Rock Racing, Rahsann is a very nice individual, polite, social, and generous with his time... and freakin' skilled and fast. Good guy.
As with life... cycling embodies the good and the bad. With the intensity and celebrity of racing, it all gets magnified... sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Which I try to portray in the video.
