Responsible blogging has become an issue because of the immediate "read and get" from the Internet today. Bloggers do have a responsibility to make sure his/her content is clear and truthful in which it does not mislead readers. Blogger are becoming more creditable today and for good reason. Most bloggers do follow a silent code of ethics and this would include summarizing or paraphrasing articles and including the links from which the information came as well as being honest about the content they choose to post on their blog. In fact many bloggers will say that "Brutal Honesty" is needed to make their points. When bloggers blog they should always make sure their readers can differentiate between fact and opinion and never let the two be confused. Readers should be able to be clear on where the blogger stands on certain issues and the motivation behind what they are posting. Not only will this make the bloggers site more creditable yet even with a reader that disagrees will still have respect for the bloggers post. Bloggers should police themselves until a certain code of ethics is in place in which demands they follow rules as do journalist.
