i have the same year 1835cc. single carb. but wutt type of rims are those and how much was the front one peice. i just started on mine:)

@OGKILLa9365 Umm... I would say thats all up to you man, I like mine alot but if you dont know about VWs finding a mechanic for one can be a pain sometimes.

Is your front wheel base widened any or is that stock

@edwardwilliams91 The guy I bought the bug from said that the entire front end was replaced with that of a 73 or 75 stock bug, (cant remember which) if this is true I am not sure. I will see if I can find out.

@bill13442 ok so to clarify it the engine in progress needs 94.5mm pistons because its been bored out so big. Should be ok though a machinist has reinforced the walls.
