  • what's the different beethwen this and a chin up?

  • basically, when you brace your forearms against the lower bar (think of it like a ladder rung in terms of setup) it changes the leverage of the exercise and forces the majority of the resistance onto your biceps. It prevents forward movement of the elbow so instead of pulling your body straight up, you're forced to pull it up in an arc, using mostly biceps.
