I find that rather hard to belive cuz normaly at most low/mid to higher volcano peaks u would normaly get that bellowing out from the pit.

Great video, crazy to think that this volcano just erupted today. Good thing you got to climb it. I heard it's off limits now.

This volcano just erupted last night! Crazy stuff. No hikers were injured since they noticed increased activity prior to the eruption and the park has been closed.

One of our favorite videos from adventure in Guatemala and Central America all together.

Very cool - this video makes me want to go to Guatemala just to hike the volcanos

@superbucky925 The volcanoes in Guatemala and actually Central America are very low, which actually makes for some fairly easy summit climbing. You don't have to deal with altitude sickness.

I only did a half-day hike on Pacaya, but it was awesome. Looks like the overnight camping was worth it, though!

@travelsofadam The overnight camping was a bit more expensive at $60 USD, but it was well worth the experience. And the outfitter and Sophie were excellent to us.

@Vajrayana514 No sulfur smell from this volcano that I remember. Sophie was an awesome guide, we really enjoyed her company on the trail and in the hostel.
