How to build a 55 gallon pasteurizing tank for mushroom substrate. This tek uses an HDPE 55 gallon drum from food-manufacturing and an electric water-heater element. Particular focus is spent on prepping the plastics for bonding due to the inherently low-bonding nature of HDPE in order to get a decent, drip-free seal around the heating element. Several safety concerns are addressed in regards to high-wattage and water.
You are a mad scientist friend your videos are awesome!!. I must ask you though i have an unused water heater in the basement, could i use that parts of from that to mimic your set up, i.e thermostat, heating elements cord etc.
