The Joliet West Marching Tigers Symphonic Band from Joliet IL Performing Concertino for Four Percussion and Wind Ensemble by David R. Gillingham in New York 2006 this is a high school band folks
This was the score for my first ever competitive marching show, back in 02 i think we were the first band ever to do this, it was completely bonkers, we pulled it off though and it was tight
@bloobunny101 Terrific, so glad your school's performance was so much better that you had to tell the whole world. Appreciate other's work, don't just brag about yours. Gillingham himself worked with this group and loved it, and the final performance was not until May...this was February. This band is ranked among the top ten groups in Illinois, and consistently receives Superior ratings and is accepted to the Illinois Superstate Concert Band Festival. They do fine work in Joliet!!!
we played this in my schools wind ensemble two years ago. i will try to upload the video and show you guys what this song is supposed to sound like. we played it at the National Golden Heritage Festival in Chicago Illinois at Chicago Symphony Orchestra Hall. the bass trombonist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra shook the entire trombone section's hands and said we were some of the best highschool players he has ever heard.
Despidanlo.
