Argh I just want to crawl under a bridge, I still don't get it.

Bourdieu's sociology, specifically on class fractions and the distribution of knowledge, can be applied to the very systems within which he is working- critical theory, publishing, university politics, cocktail party dialogue. that art is cultural capital which can somehow distribute itself outside of ownership is inchoate. art (which includes theory and criticism) is an isolated discipline like anything else but exists, often, in public / free spaces- much like the library exists for Bourdieu.

I like this. Thank you.
Does anyone know if "On television" exists on video in a translated version?

Philosophy and cinema can go so well together.
Cinema IS NOT USED but presented as a form of experience and experience that resonate with philosophical questions

one hell of a soundtrack
abosolutely great, very clever and a beautiful way of putting across! that is the genius of Bourdieu for me though, relevant and experiential, I know i can relate and think of times that I have seen that demonstrated! well done on making this and please keep them coming

Thanks for uploading/producing. I think Bourdieu´s theories will spread to a wider audience this way. Not many these days have the stamina to read a whole book... But this way you´ll probably get more people interested. Good work! -Thony

Thank you! I'm trying to present Bourdieu in different ways. His ideas are exciting, but his writing style is off-putting to the average college undergraduate (I think).
