A Dutch, by way of Somalia is going to tell me about the history of American suffering? Really? She has spent less than one year in the US. Is an admitted liar not once but on numerous occasions in regards to how she obtained political asylum in the Netherlands and continues to "reinvent" herself so much she is already being called a "chameleon of a woman". I could not find one instance while searching where she was considered scholarly on any subject.
Foolahooga- quick to mock and very slow to actually come up with anything of real intellectual value. Simple people do things like engage in senseless back and forth about nothing really and spew hatred, laced with immature 5th grade responses extracting from those back and forth some kind of childish delight. He wants desperately to debate intelligently but does not have the mental resources available in order to engage in such debate so he is left with petty name-calling. Sad really
"Basking in vanity home ownership"? I'm not sure what your point is. Am I supposed to feel ashamed of owning a home? Am I supposed to feel some kind of obligation to give you my home? (Excuse me for correcting your spelling. "Basque," which you confused for "bask" (enjoy the comfort of), is the language spoken by the Basque people who inhabit the Pyrenees in North-Central Spain and the adjoining region of South-Western France.)
equationoracle: Is this attempted poetry, or stream of consciousness? Either way, it's ambiguous enough to make Cornell West proud. Care to try it in prose? Care to try it using premises and conclusion?
From the perspective of elite social engineers oligarchical rule over the people is natural human ecology. From the perspective of the people, it is just plain wrong, to have such powers as not to allow for a fair fight for one's self determination.
From the perspective of Human Evolution and Human Ecology...to speculate what Evolution and Ecology would say...West is doing his part as it "was" supposed to be! Fair?
seems to me the "system of things" is a slippery slavery! balancing the pain with the pleasure i.e., your debt rises and quality of life goes down, while basqueing in vanity home ownership, national recognition and other ego materialisms. Is this a fair truth?
Search Youtube for Ayaan Hirsi Ali Avi Lewis if you would like to see a black woman, an extremely enlightened black woman, discuss "oppression" in the USA.
Cornell West wouldn't know oppression if he tripped over it. Truly oppressed people leave the oppressive state, like they leave Cuba and the former Soviet Union. A truly oppressive state won't let them leave. You see anybody leaving the USA? They're free to. American soldiers fight for oppressed people. I know: you disagree--you and Cornell. To Cornell and his disciples, America doesn't do anything unless it is for oil. If you gave Cornell an enema, you could feed his disciples for a year.
Many groups have suffered. Not every group has exploited as much mileage out of its suffering as the blacks.

ahooga,
Perspective is an interesting word.
Fair?
