As a result of investigating relative forms of uncanniness, I identified central motifs that use the uncanny to best effect. The roles of seduction, enchantment and repetition are used to create feelings of anxiety and suspense between the eyes of the viewer and the 'subject'. This led me to produce an animation that uses these central motifs and has the intention of evoking feelings of unease and eeriness. Remaining focused on the motifs and integrating a "story" became a significant part of the development process. However inventing a story that didn't over shadow the motifs proved a delicate process, but was made easier through using music to illustrate a story. Taking influence from beliefs that humans are divine souls trapped in a material world created by an imperfect god, the result is an animation that questions life and death and the seducing charms of a fictional environment.
