This product was supplied by my local social services department and the forgot the code so i had to break into it so it tells me on the instructions that the product is resistant to hammer attack so this is the result.

im pretty p***ed that my mothers key was trusted such a poor product but i do like the idea that my mother can receive help at home .

So can anyone suggest a better quality product for storing a key outside the house.

  • THIS IS THE THING, I USED 6 INCH SCREWS INTO CONCRETE ON MINE, AND THE SOUND FROM HITTING IT TO GET KEYS THAT MAY NOT BE IN THERE? IF THEY WANT IN TO YOUR HOME THEY WILL GET IN WITH OUT THE NEED FOR A KEY! I TRUST MINE, BEATS PUTTING THE KEY UNDER THE MAT!

  • @goru426 well all they claimed was that the lock is hard to pick

if it a crapass casing its not their problem XD

if u got one put it somewhere where u cant find it much harder to break that

  • This is why thieves need to be shot in the head. No repeat offenders.

  • I bet you wouldn't have to hit the window that many times with the hammer.

  • @blenheimears Used a high power led torch and a jeweller's magnifying glass as used for assessing diamonds. No sign of any black dots. You may have an older version of the lock than currently on sale.

  • special curved screwdriver will do it without noise in seconds

  • @goru426 - with that amount of noise it's comparable to a glazing entry.

    Do you have glazing security?

  • wont be buying one of them for my grandma - thanks for showing what a waste of money they are

  • I wouldn't even fit these in a dolls house. .....RUBBISH!

  • To crack this lock without any tools: rotate each dial until a tiny black spot appears on the mechanism to the left of the dial (which is inside the lock and barely visible through the crack to the left of the dial). This black dot is the hole that the bar passes through when the correct combination is entered. Next, rotate each dial down six times. The correct combination will be showing. Pull the lever down and the lock will open. This does no damage to the lock or its contents.
