World food crisis

At least 30 Nobel Prize winners, including former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, will meet in the ancient city of Petra on June 17-19 to discuss global problems. One of the main topics at their meeting is food security. High food prices have increased hunger and poverty and produced rioting in some countries. What is the cause of this crisis and what should be done to tackle it?

More than Half of all corn grown is used as feed for cattle. no longer are they free range grazing on grass. now they are penned up eating corn to make them fat.

corn used for ethanol is nothing compared to that.
