  • How did you make that "camera shake" when the water reach it?! Animation or physics effects?!

  • Another glorious accident, the camera shake is actually just an optical illusion as the water hit the wall just behind the camera and swirled up around it, the camera doesn't actually move- its all in the glory of the ray transparency settings.

(Real Camera shake is on my things to learn list)

  • How did you made the Big Movie logo with the blue transparent effect?

  • It's the standard text settings, but for some reason when I beveled the edges and upped the Ray Transparency + Mirror settings, the edges got that wierd prism effect but the face stayed kind of opaque

Long story short it was a fortunate accident... Hope that helps.

  • how do you get the movie in the background?

  • Alas I don't know if you can do it with Blender, I haven't played with the compositor section. I exported with Alpha and put it together with After Effects...

  • That was epic. How long did it take?

  • @NunjaminAlpha

you can set up a huge plane and add an animated Texture set to COL and shadeless.

or use the blender video sequence editor. it can render the CG scene right onto the background video..

I Just thought of a way to get a realistic camera shake.

use voodoo(camera tracker) as if your setting up a shot where your just adding some 3D objects or something. AS IF YOU ARE. but really you will just use the camera match data to set up a CG SHOt. the camera shakes rattles and rolls.

then just render using the VOODOO camera but ignore the source video.

then your camera movements will be exactly realistic not have to fake it at all

  • WOW mega!

  • How do you get the camera to move but still look at the same spot?

  • Very cool Blendering!

  • did you render with Blender or an external app?

  • Loved the space ship crash! awesome job, im just starting Blender

  • very nice work :-)

  • it's really nice but i would use halo materials for the particles
