Watch in HD!!!

After a day of many misses looking for a train to record on video, my girlfriend and I decided to go down to the BNSF Silsbee Subdivision to see if there was anything going on down there. Low and behold once we got to the North Street Railroad Crossing, there was a Union Pacific stopped right on the tracks there waiting to switch over to another track in the yard. Just then, I hear another horn and see the lights for this Kansas City Southern Local heading towards the BNSF Beaumont Yard. As soon as the Union Pacific finally parked into the yard, we raced over the railroad crossing and I set up my tripod looking towards the Calder and North McFadden Railroad Crossings. As you will see in the video, not only do you see the KCS conductor switch the rails, but you also see both the UP and BNSF conductors switch as well. The KCS locomotive used was 2842 which is a GP22ECO. The trains in the background respectively were:

UP 4693 (SD70M)
BNSF "Fakebonnet" 746 (Dash 9-44CW)

This train was recorded on August 12, 2010 at 6:50pm. Please feel free to like, comment, and/or leave feedback as it is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for watching and Happy Viewing!!!

  • I like the paint job on the Kansas City Southern. Would like to see an ES44 in that scheme. This looks like an awesome place to catch freight action...lucky you!
