  • But don't you see? Even if it is "only" a toilet, it creates jobs and the ability for people to work in the area.

I like the idea (thumbs up)

  • I am an American and saw a documentary on these IKO Toliets. It's amazing how much a person takes for granted when something like toilets, and water is so readily available. I would never think it possible for toilets to not be common place in a person's home.

Aside from the cultural differences, I think that economically this is a very advantageous idea. This business is producing the need for other business. It works the same way in the USA. I wish the entrepreneurs well in their endeavors.

  • please`privatise everything in kenya....!

  • This proves that the only way out for economic prosperity and some decency management in the third worlds is through PRIVATISATION! ALL INFRASTRUCTURES of course it starts with the toilets and or restrooms!

  • sometimes a decent shit worths much more then oly 7 bob... great idea - i hope they ll bulit some on the coast aswell

  • It Costs 10 sticks for a pee no way !

  • whoa that's so cool, little efforts like these (well i guess it's not that little but still) really have my hope for the potential of developing nations :D lol i just think it's pretty cool, and funny, i take for granted my toilets and public toilets

  • You have definitely not attended any English glasses, my good sir.

  • Good initiative, also to some idiot commenters; Kenya is one of the most modern countries in Africa.

  • do they accept credit cards or debit cards as payment? perhaps cheques?
